Coda Octopus Martech designs and assembles automotive components for World leading high performance automotive manufacturers often in a 'clean room' environment. Many of the projects need a test rig to replicate and test the performance of the component.

Automotive Component Testing Stations

The test rigs are fully automated, testing high speed rotating and fluid transport (oil and water). The integrated sensor package performs multiple high accuracy measurements including pressure, temperature and flow.

The test rigs use Coda Octopus Martech designed and developed touch screen interfaces, they log all data and incorporate multiple interlocks and safety features. Operator controlled parameters include control of the rotating part and of fluid flow rates. An example is the high-risk failure mode for the units-under-test (UUT) tested is catastrophic at high RPM.

Operator safety is paramount so the test rig enclosure is designed to fully contain the UUT and fabricated polycarbonate guards provide full protection against mechanical failure (high speed flying parts) and loss of fluids at high flow rates.

Coda Octopus Martech is currently building components and testing stations for one of the fastest moving applications in automotive history.
